Korea extends support to social welfare facilities, medical charity services, the elderly and physically challenged, and victims of natural disasters. The Lotte Scholarship Foundation, meanwhile, provides funds to outstanding students in South Korea’s elementary, middle and high schools as a way to encourage the development of the able young people and support academic research activities.

In 2001, Lotte Cinema Pusan 11 was constructed next to a Lotte Department Store to create a multipurpose entertainment complex at the Hotel Lotte Pusan. With 11 screens, the cinema complex has quickly become an entertainment landmark in Pusan.

The Lotte Group is also the proud sponsor of the fan-favorite Lotte Giants in the South Korean Pro Baseball League and the professional Chiba Lotte Marines in Japan. The sponsorship of these teams is just a part of Lotte’s effort to provide enjoyable sporting activities.
